The FlowGevity Story

What is health and well-being?  It may mean something different to all of us but at the end of the day it is about longevity and being able to physically and mentally enjoy it. 

I am a baby boomer with children and grandchildren I love and I want to live a life where I can watch them grow and be part of their lives.  To do that I need to remain physically and mentally healthy.  That was my reasoning when I first began introducing healthy habits into my lifestyle.  But, like many, I didn’t realize I needed more than a vision, I needed a plan. 

How was I actually going to make this vision a reality?

My motivation to change my lifestyle originated with a medical scare that turned out to be a false alarm.  It included doctors and testing and a future that seemed predictable and common - learn to rely on the medical industry and medications to live a long and healthy life. 

At least that was the doctors plan. 

The medical profession was gladly offering to accompany me on my journey through the last third of my life.  Give them control and I can enjoy life.  That is a false promise.  A slow spiral downward that guarantees your future reliance on doctors and pills.

The experience opened my mind to alternate ways to gain and maintain my health - today and for my future.  I began educating myself by learning about the benefits of meditation, yoga, aerobic exercise and a reasonable diet.  It would have been nice for this inspiration to come from the medical community.  There were no offers of alternative, holistic approaches to my health.  Like most of you, I had to figure it out on my own.

But I needed something to help it all make sense, to tie it all together.  That's when a friend of mine told me to investigate the Wim Hof Method.  I learned the basics and saw this could be an important part of the puzzle.  The Wim Hof Method acts like an aggregator of the healthy practices I was adopting.  The method itself supports my health but also allows me to maximize the benefits of my healthy habits by providing the mindset and belief I had lacked in the past.

As Wim says, regardless of your age you can live a life that is happy, strong and healthy.  Rely on yourself to build that path through your innate abilities to consciously hack into your own mind and your own body.

By combining the Wim Hof Method with other healthy practices – good diet, drink lots of water, meditate, exercise, yoga and the Oxygen Advantage - I've invested in my future today and have given myself the best chance to physically and mentally enjoy life for all my tomorrows. 

The Wim Hof Method is the ultimate in delayed gratification – you feel great every day when you practice and at the same time you are creating benefits you will enjoy in the future.  I know that I will be kayaking on a beautiful mountain lake for my 80th birthday!

What have I gained from practicing the Wim Hof Method?  It is very simple – a solid foundation to build other healthy practices upon.  I’m energized every day.  More in touch with my body than I have ever been.  Reduced stress.  And of course, I’m providing myself with the best chance of living disease free.  Practicing the Wim Hof Method makes me happy, strong and healthy

Happy that I’m giving myself the best chance possible to live the remainder of my life disease free.  Knowing today I will mentally and physically be able to enjoy the rest of my life makes me deeply happy. 

My mindset is strong.  You have heard of mind over matter.  With the Wim Hof Method the truth is that mind controls matter.  The power of the mind is incredible and I’ve learned to harness it to my benefit.  I trust.  I believe.  Those four words open an incredible amount of power and strength.  From repairing and healing my body to having the confidence to tackle any challenge or issue – I’ve never felt stronger.

And who wouldn’t be happy knowing their future will be healthy? Just thinking about it makes me smile.

I intend to get the best out of myself and apply it to my daily life.  Every day I feel alive, energetic, focused, stress free and present.  It is an awesome way to live and love.
